Intel was awarded with the first ever Corporate Contribution and Leadership Award by the Global Connections for Women Foundation (GC4W) for its continuing commitment and progress made in girls’ and women’s empowerment and gender equality. At the International Women’s Day Awards & Benefit Gala at the Library of Congress on March 7, Intel was recognized for its efforts, which include programs supporting girls’ education and tech empowerment, such as Intel’s role as a strategic founding partner of the Girl Rising film and social action campaign, and the Intel® She Will Connect program which seeks to expand technology access for millions of women globally, beginning in sub-Saharan Africa where the Internet gender gap is the greatest.
