Chip Shot: Intel Drives OpenStack Adoption with New Innovation Center and Partner Collaborations

Today at OpenStack Summit Tokyo, Intel Software VP and GM of the Intel Open Source Technology Center Imad Sousou, shared progress on Intel’s Cloud for All initiative to accelerate cloud adoption by making public, private and hybrid cloud solutions easier to deploy. As part of this initiative, Intel and Rackspace announced the opening of the OpenStack Innovation Center, including the world’s largest OpenStack developer cloud consisting of two 1,000-node clusters – allowing developers to test OpenStack implementations at-scale. Additionally, Intel expanded its collaboration with Red Hat, delivering OpenStack-based distribution running on Intel Architecture-based Lenovo servers and with HP on joint engineering and upstream efforts to solve enterprise readiness issues.
